Op dinsdag 8 mei 2012 viert het Montesquieu Instituut haar vijfjarig bestaan. Dit eerste lustrum wordt feestelijk gevierd met een symposium en borrel.

Het lustrumsymposium
Bestuursvoorzitter mr. Ed d’Hondt zal een welkomstwoord houden met als centrale vraag: Wat heeft het Montesquieu Instituut de afgelopen vijf jaar bereikt en wat zullen de speerpunten voor de komende jaren zijn?
Aansluitend zal prof. dr. Paul Scheffer een lezing geven over de bedoelde en onbedoelde effecten van Europese integratie en de positie van Europa in de wereld. Namens het Montesquieu Instituut zal prof. mr. Luc Verhey een inhoudelijke reactie geven. Hierna zal een debat met alle aanwezigen plaatsvinden.
