  The error consists of the omission of two Articles which confer the powers of management

of the new import quotas to the Commission. The same Articles appear, as a matter of

standard practice, in the other equivalent agreements concluded between the Community and

certain other third countries in the framework of Article XXIV.6 of the GATT 1994, and

which confer the management of quotas to the Commission.

In order to correct the error, the General Secretariat would suggest, pursuant to point c) in

the Council statement of 3 December 1975 on the procedure for the adoption of corrigenda

to Council acts, that the annexed draft corrigendum be approved by the Article 133

Committee and subsequently be published in the Official Journal of the European Union.

Article 1a

The Commission shall adopt the detailed rules for implementing the Agreement in the form of

an Exchange of Letters in accordance with the procedure laid down in Article 1b(2)of this Decision.
