The OSCE Mission to Montenegro and the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro are jointly organizing a roundtable discussion on preparation of guidelines for development of the Integrated Border Management (IBM) Strategies for the period 2013-2016. It will take place from 31 May to 1 June 2012 at the Hotel “Crna Gora” in Podgorica. Participants from across the region will join the meeting, including Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Albania.
The purpose of the meeting will be to focus on the presentation of lessons learned through the implementation of IBM Strategies in the respective countries by 2012, as well as guidelines in developing the IBM documents for 2013-2016.
Representatives from Croatia are to share their practices and experiences in achieving full compliance with EU Schengen border security standards.

De Organisatie voor Veiligheid en Samenwerking in Europa (OVSE; in het Engels OSCE) is een politieke organisatie van 55 landen in Europa, Centraal-Azië en Noord-Amerika, die zich sinds 1973 bezighoudt met samenwerking op het gebied van defensie, economie en humanitair beleid.
De OVSE probeert vooral preventieve diplomatie te gebruiken om conflicten te voorkomen, of te beperken. Na een conflict biedt de organisatie bijstand bij de (weder)opbouw van democratie en rechtsorde. Voor het beheersen en oplossen van conflicten vestigt de OVSE kantoren in de betreffende gebieden.
